A swirling, silver portal appears in the middle of spawn. Bedrock begins to form under it, fading into tuff and then to grass. A single block of obsidian rises out of the middle of the circle, its edges gaining the blue tint of a diamond as it turns into an enchanting table.
I look over at Notch. He looks pleased with the events, like something he planned is falling perfectly into place. Did you set this up? I mouth at him. He nods, his slight smile breaking out into a bright but ghostly grin.
"I need to make sure that previous arrangements to travel to Hermitcraft are still in place," Notch begins. "To do so, I must travel away for a few weeks. In the meantime, you will be completing your last challenge. I like to call it 'Last Life'."

This is the sequel to Acrylic Waves! If you haven't read it yet, I strongly suggest you do before this so it actually makes a little bit of sense! Set in S8 and Last Life!
