Oliver is 6 at the beginning of the story. No plans for life, no worries, just chores and a super cool playground in his backyard.
Living in Washington where it rains a lot, most people learn to get used to it or even hate it! not oliver. he doesn't think he'll EVER dislike the rain, every time he's in it is like something out of this world.
