he never knew. after all, he had always been oblivious to those kinds of feelings. he blamed his nature of life. he was too ashamed and disappointed with himself to meet her again. his ego got the best of him and so he stayed. he stayed never getting the much-needed farewell.

and they both knew the possibility of things going back to the way they were, is like wishing upon the shooting stars. foolish but maybe if they kept believing in it, those wishes would come true.
