Dengan hati yang berat, Adawiyah telah memutuskan untuk meneruskan pengajiannya di Universiti Al-Azhar, setelah mendapat tahu bahawa orang yang dia cintai setelah sekian lama - Muhammad Ameer - telah menjadi tunangan orang. Lebih menyedihkan baginya, tunangan Ameer merupakan sahabat baiknya sendiri. Hal ini menyebabkan Adawiyah memutuskan untuk pergi jauh bagi mengubatkan hatinya yang sedang luka.
Di Mesir, hati Adawiyah sedikit terubat dengan kehadiran Ammar. Sungguhpun begitu, dia masih tidak dapat melupakan Ameer. Segala kebaikan yang dilakukan oleh Ammar terhadapnya menguatkan lagi perasaan rindu terhadap Ameer.
Di Al-Azhar juga, Adawiyah diberitahu bahawa Ameer juga sedang meneruskan pengajian di Al-Azhar, dan lebih mengejutkan lagi, mereka berada di dalam fakulti yang sama!
