"𝐁𝐄𝐀𝐔𝐓𝐄́ 𝐍𝐎𝐈𝐑" is a French phrase that, when translated to English, reads as: "𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐊 𝐁𝐄𝐀𝐔𝐓𝐘"
Riding high off of his championship win in his rookie season, Earvin "Magic" Johnson received waves of fame and attention from townies and celebrities alike. Following close behind him in the National Basketball Association was his long-time friend, Isiah Thomas, the freshly drafted starting point guard for the Detroit Pistons.
With a nickname like "Magic," it was obvious from the get-go that Earvin was made for his level of stardom, having the looks, the abilities, and the attitude for the job. Meanwhile, his 6'1" Chicago-born friend was not nearly as adapted to the limelight and wasn't being received as greatly as he should have because he played for a team with such a poor legacy; barely a legacy at all.
Through his basketball, Magic was spotted by the star-studded Jackson family and invited along on tour with them during the basketball offseason. He agreed to go and asked to bring a plus one with him. Rather than choosing his college sweetheart, Cookie, he brings his best buddy Isiah along with him.
From that point forward, a connection between the Jacksons, Johnson, and Thomas was created. But it wouldn't be until nearly a decade later that the real story between them all, truly began.
In February of 1986, a nearly 20-year-old Janet Jackson released her "coming of age" album by the name of "Control" and began to separate herself from her family and become her own person within the music industry. Branching out of the 80s and into the 90s, she acquired her own star status and reconnected with her athletic family friends - on different levels than ever before.

He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that."
