After Ryder disappears into thin air with her heart, not leaving so much as a clue to where he went off to, Nicole is left heartbroken and alone, scarred and afraid to ever open up again or love.

But after a chain of events leads Nicole to the mysterious and handsome Dominic, she finds herself succumbing to his dominating ways as he forces her to open up to love again. But what Dominic doesn't know is that Nicole is far more broken than she let on.

As Dominic slowly starts to pick up the pieces of Nicole's broken life, Nicole finds out the real reason behind Ryder's unexpected fleeing all those years ago. Feelings change, mistakes are made, hearts are broken, and nightmares are reawakened, leading Nicole to realize that in this life we fall in love with the good and the bad, and it's up to her to decide which one she's willing to give up.
