In this book Bonnie didn't die, the ancestors brought Jeremy back because they felt bad for causing so much trouble for them, Elena gives the cure to Rebekah instead of Stefan, even after everything started to calm down Elena, Caroline and Bonnie are finally graduating from High School, Elena has finally realised that Damon and Stefan are toxic for her because even though they have been nothing but helpful, they are not right for her, while that is sorted she can't get in touch with Hayley who she became close to, Caroline finally knows that Klaus is the one for her and wants to be with him but after finding out something will they be able to overcome it? Bonnie wants to live her own life and for that to happen she needs to understand her kind more, with Elena and Caroline she will find so much more then what her Grams has taught her, together they decided to leave Mystic Falls with promises to keep in touch.
