Only a few weeks have passed since Freya's had the twins. Things have settled in a chaotic norm with Sam temporarily living with them on work leave to help her and Steve out. With Steve announcing to fully retire and give up the Captain America title, he decides to pass the mantle and shield on to Sam. Who seems to reluctantly accept it. Barely a week goes by before Freya and Steve are informed that Sam had decided to give up the shield in hopes of retiring it. Not believing that he's worthy enough to carry it. But in doing so, it results in Steve and Freya meeting severe consequences that rip their family apart. Forcing Freya to do the unthinkable and team up with the one person she was hoping to never meet. Eventually, she learns that Sam and, surprisingly enough, Bucky have their hands on the same mission she's involved with. Causing their paths to cross in an awkward meeting. What lengths will Freya go to in order to get things back to normal? Will she be able to repair her family?

Sequel to Punching Bag! My heart is beating about as fast as I'm spinning the two rings around my finger. I stare out the jet windows at the changing landscape, so different from where I just was. I pause and look down at the rings with nostalgia staining my tongue. A smile curves my lips up when I fiddle with the bottom shining silver band with the little A on it and then the little spider on the other. "You need to calm down. Even I can hear your heartbeat." Natasha tells me calmly as she flies. A moment passes with her searching jade eyes on mine before I sigh. "It's been three months," I tell her green eyes as she suppresses a smile. "I've been gone longer. This was your chance to stretch your legs, Jo, and you did extremely well." She reassures me. "What's bothering you?" Natasha pushes slightly, knowing I'm not telling her something. My eyes roll. "Are you forgetting I didn't exactly have permission to leave? And how adamant everyone was that I shouldn't have?" She raises an eyebrow. "Everyone?" She repeats and I deflate slightly in surrender. She was on my side, mostly. "You're over eighteen and legally allowed to make your own decisions. The team has no hold on you, Jo." I fix her with an incredulous glare and her lips twitch. "Other than affection." Sighing, I press my lips together. "Right. And that has no hold on me." It's been three years since the events in Punching Bag and three months since Jo left to be on her own. Returning back to the facility has its own set of problems though. Including a stubborn Steve Rogers, broken-hearted Peter Parker, and an American public that Jo must win over to be an Avenger. And even more surprises down the line... *I DO NOT OWN THE AVENGERS. "I'm guessing you're here to try and recruit me? Again?" I ask him patiently. I believe this is the fifth-time Nick Fury has come calling. Each and every time I have turned him down, but eventually he comes back and proposes the same thing. "No, I'm here to see if you'd like some girl scout cookies. The Samoa's are selling really well this year." Nick sasses while giving me his signature glare. I smirk. He's a sarcastic jerk, but he is funny. "Oh, well in that case..." I start and trail off, knowing it'll make him even more frustrated. He huffs and my smirk grows. "Why do you want me so bad?" I ask, honestly wanting to know. I watch Nick as he sighs deeply and clasps his hands in front of him. "Your skill set is equal to the best that we have. You would be an invaluable part of the team." He explains, but he knows that isn't what I mean. We stare at each other for a moment before he sighs again. "Your history only makes you more of an impressive subject." He continues and I groan. "The point is that you would help put an end to what happened to you, on a global scale." He says. "Think about it, Shifter." Nick drops a folder on the concrete and starts to walk back to the exit of the roof. I flip through the folder lazily, barely skimming the papers, but I know all of the names already. Once I've gone through most of it I stop and toss it in the dust behind me. Reading it was useless. I wasn't made to be any sort of hero. I DO NOT OWN THE AVENGERS. ONLY THE CHARACTERS AND THE SITUATIONS I CREATE.

After their third, and hopefully final encounter with Thanos, the reunited Avengers are left to pick up the pieces of the last five years and attempt to move on with their lives. Even with the giant hole left behind by the loss of Tony and Vision, they're still met with the joy that Natasha's return brings. With Sam and Bucky temporarily living with Freya and Steve, who are excitedly expecting twins, things seem like they're slowly returning to a new normal. But Freya can't seem to shake an uneasy feeling after her brief, but nearly violent confrontation with Wanda. The feeling isn't only putting her on edge, but it carries a darkness with it as well. Not long after Wanda leaves, something causes Freya to have an episode with her powers. But instead of her powers lashing out, they're forced to contain an out of control Freya in order to protect the others. Once it passes, new revelations begin to tie everything back to Wanda and her unknown activities. Freya worries for the younger woman and hopes she didn't make a mistake by encouraging her to take time for herself. However, that worry and hope quickly dissolves into fear and guilt when an old friend reaches out for help with a situation only Freya might understand. Without hesitation, Freya, Steve, Sam and Bucky rush to aid the contact. Only to come face to face with something so bizarre and terrifying, even Freya has the urge to stay away. Though, when she discovers Wanda, and perplexingly enough, Vision, at the center of it, she knows they have to do whatever it takes to bring their family home. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Steve Rogers x OC (Stark) [WandaVision] **Book six in the Mercury Series** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I DO NOT OWN ANYTHING MARVEL OR DISNEY RELATED!! Now that the Winter Soldier is off the grid and Hydra is officially stripped of their power in S.H.I.E.L.D., Kara is finally ready to get back on her feet and set things right, both on the battlefield, and for her past. Her mental health is improving with the help of the Avengers, who have now become the only group of people she can call a family. Though all of Hydra's secrets were released, they still have many different bases and facilities around the globe where they are looking to regroup and regrow their power. With the help of her fellow Avengers, Kara sets out to track them all down, and take them out. They discover that one of the facilities houses Loki's scepter, so they must find it and take it back. Meanwhile, Tony and Bruce made a horrible mistake. Their mechanical creation, of whom they had named Ultron, poses yet another threat of war and destruction on mankind, and promises the Avengers' extinction. During this battle against the powerful Android, Kara runs into two siblings, who she had a damaging encounter with as an assassin for Hydra. Wanda and Pietro Maximoff. Once again, Kara is forced to face her past in a not-so-favorable way, while simultaneously proving to herself and the world that she is not the monster that she used to be; only this time, most of the other Avengers are facing the same exact self-reflective challenge. Takes place during Avengers: Age of Ultron All marvel characters are owned by Marvel. The only characters I own are Kara, aka The Tigris, and Eugene Adams.

I nod my head, "I forgot to ask. What happened to your hand?" "Fell off a train in the mountains. HYDRA found me and gave me this metal one." "Leaving me there and going really did nothing for you huh." "Thea-," he walks towards me. I yawn, stretching my arms and he watches me. My shirt slightly lifts, revealing one of my scars. "What happened?" He comes close to me, and places his metal thumb on my bare skin, trailing the scar. "Nothing," I move away from his touch, trying to ignore the butterflies ricocheting through me. He looks in my eyes, "Every scar has a story." I chuckle dryly, "Then I must be a novel." Bucky leans towards me slightly, my face hardly an inch from his, "You're a novel I'd want to read." Theadora Rogers doesn't know her origins. Correction, she doesn't remember. Correction, HYDRA wiped her mind when she was only 18 and her older brother, Steve, was 20. But like I said, she didn't remember him. She knew 3 things: 1. Her name was Datura and she was 28. 2. She is HYDRA's best assassin and she is kept in cryofreeze unless she is needed in a mission, and that she trained for 10 years before that. 3. All hail HYDRA. Datura is a beautiful flower, but deadly. Many people die every year consuming its seeds. The drug was amazing, but addicting and it kills millions every year. Now, down to business. Our Datura has a mission. To kill Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America. But what happens when, for the first time in 80 years, she fails and the Avengers capture her? What happens when she meets the broken Winter Soldier? Read to find out. 😉 (Takes place during Captain America : The Winter Soldier)
