Summary: Katherine has had a normal life in Beacon Hills, California all of her life . That suddenly changes and everything is thrown into a whirlwind when she discovers her best friend Scott's a werewolf. In the midst of all the craziness she finds herself falling for mysterious bad boy Derek Hale, who also seems to share something in common with Scott. And while dealing with the newfound information of werewolves being in her life, Katherine becomes the new target for the killing machine of an Alpha that's come into town. Side by side they work to together to help Scott learn how to be a werewolf but also to catch the unknown alpha. Along with the other dangers that begin the fill the town.
