Tommy was handed a small flyer in printed in black and white, with the words "POETRY NIGHT - OPEN MIC" splayed across the front in bubbled font. He fumbled with his binder as he took it, eyes wide as he said, "are you sure? I mean, I love poetry and all, but I don't think-I'm not sure-what if I can't write poetry?"

Mr. Sam's dark eyes softened, and he reached out to place a hand on Tommy's shoulder, squeezing it gently. "Everyone has to start somewhere; every poet, from me to Rudy Francisco, started off without knowing a clue about what we were doing. Tommy, it's not about if you can or cannot write poetry, it's about if you want to."

A round table. 5 poets. 1 teacher. May the muses be ever in your favour. Samay hates any kind of disruption in his life. He hates being curious about things because then he loses all common sense and has to sate his curiosity. But he can't stop himself from being curious about Romi, the girl who conducts the weekly poetry sessions which Samay (forcibly) participates in. She's intelligent, yes. She knows how poetry works, sure. But she is so guarded, and that, Samay can't tolerate. Kiara is painfully shy. Bullied often as a kid, she grows up keeping her thoughts and ideas to herself, and occasionally pouring them in a sketch book or a notebook. Creativity takes over and she realises she writes poetry quite well. However, when her cousin Sarah, invites her to join a poetry group that meets weekly, Kiara must decide whether she really wants to put herself out there, in the open. Rishi is easy going and uncomplicated. He enjoys a good poem thanks to his best friend, Kabir. Kabir harbours a massive crush on Sarah so when she invites him to weekly poetry gatherings, Kabir decides to drag Rishi in. Rishi meets Kiara, the shy girl. He has made it a rule to avoid all kinds of dramas and complications, yet he feels compelled to solve the complex puzzle that is Kiara. What unites all these very different, very colourful people? Poetry, of course. The magic of words and verses draws in Kabir (a lawyer and volunteer with a heart of gold), Sarah (the girl with spunk), Samay (Mr. Grouch), Rishi, Kiara, and of course, the person who leads them to the wonderful world of poetry - Romi. "Why did this feel so absolutely perfect?! And hey, how come nobody told me I was gay?!" Sean is an artistic guy. He loves to draw, more digitally than on paper, let alone his own skin. Mark was not as artistic as Sean. He focused his creativity more on comedy than art. They're both sick of waiting for their soulmates to show up. Hell, they're twenty-something, and still looking! The two boys are so busy looking for their other half, that they don't notice the little things; Mark scribbling notes on his hands for strategy games, Sean writing down dates for collab videos, and the random bored pen scribbles. But one day, their wild goose chase gets flipped on it's head. Ethan is a different story altogether. He just flat-out doesn't believe in soulmates. He pretends he does to make his friends happy, and to fit in so he feels like he belongs, but no matter how much he wishes he could, the blue boy just can't bring himself to believe in it. All those little doodles on his arms bring him are pain and emptyness. Tyler knows Ethan is his soulmate, and when he figures out what Ethan's been trying to hide, it breaks his heart. Tyler fears that if he can't make Ethan love him, it's going to be a repeat of his childhood all over again... this time, from third person. Who's that woman in the picture on Sean's dresser? Why does Mark care so much? Why doesn't Ethan believe in soulmates? Why does Tyler need him to? All of them have secrets they think no one else knows. But if they want a happily-ever-after, they can't stay secrets for long. And just... What is Kat's deal?! (The AU is basically when someone writes on their skin or gets a tattoo or etc., it also appears on their soulmate's skin in the exact same place.)

Ivy Sage is a seventeen year old girl, who dropped out of school against her parents wishes. Ivy dropped out of school due to the issues of bullying and harassment at her school. Ivy's dad died in a car accident when she was twelve. Her mom recently remarried to her stepdad, she now had a stepbrother. One night, Ivy was laying in her backyard, looking up at the stars when she heard the voices of her neighbors. She has never had a conversation with them in the two years she's lived in the house. How hasn't she had a conversation with them? She hasn't really seen them much. She also didn't really care too much. As Ivy laid and stared at the stars, the voices of her neighbors brought her out of her trance. "Tom!" The voice of one spoke. "Bill!" The voice of Tom, she assumed. "Can you believe it! We're going on tour again." Bill, she assumed, spoke again. "All the women love me. So yea." She could hear the smirk in his voice. Ivy silently scoffed to herself. "Ivy. Come inside." Her mom spoke. "I'm watching the stars. I'll be in soon." Ivy looked over at her mom. "Okay." The stares of her neighbors went unnoticed, until they didn't.
