This is the story of a five-year-old girl named Oakley.
Oakley hasn't had the best life so far but, of course, being as sweet and naive as she is to the cruel world surrounding her, she faces her battles like they are normal, though they're far from that.
She only comes to realize the way she's been living is far from normal when she's got some sense knocked into her, quite literally. And by a car.
She may not have known right then, but getting hit by that car would save her and bring her into the life of the Greene family who would be sure to love and cherish her as their own.

"Nowhere is safe, you know?" Foster homes, orphanages, replacement homes, you name it, Georgia Monroe has never fit in anywhere. Though her brothers home may be idealistic and fit for a king and queen in her eyes, it is far from it.
