The idea of class stories came to me, during the first corona lockdown in Germany, when my son wanted to bring something to his class for his birthday. What can you give a child, when there shouldn't be any contact? Words and time!
Full of enthusiasm, I sad down and wrote the knight story "The grey knight" for his class! The story is about children that aren't allowed to get into contact, because they should concentrate on their assignments. Like all of us during corona, they hear continuously: "Keep your distance."
But they discover, that only together they can defend themselves against the grey knight.
My daughter got her own story shortly after - and so one thing led to another and the idea to create a story for whole classes or preschoolers developed.
By now there are seven different stories and my repertoire is growing.
Write to me, when you are interested and I adapt an individual story for you!
You can read it out, get the teacher to read it or even tape it.
I have also written a story for a library, when they were visited by a class. This was also received very positively, because the kids hear their own names and their home city over and over again. Furthermore, you can involve them with questions.
If you have ideas for such class stories let me know. I would really appreciate, if you shared them and your experience. To spread this concept, would be a real joy to me!
*all names don't have any reference to a real class, for that I originally wrote the story
