Middle school is hard for people like me, Alexis Brown. It's full of weirdos like the teachers that hate you from day one for no reason and the kids who just stare at the floor all day and say nothing. But, what would the world be without the freaks of nature? Then, at every school, there's always a group of students that act like angels and demons at the same time. Everybody loves them, but don't get on their bad side. Don't pretend like you don't know what I'm talking about. For all you know, you may be one of them. And finally, there's the normal people like me. Read the book. I double dog dare you.

An Unexpected Moment
... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. [Book #1 of Twisted Deception] "You people don't know a damn thing about us, don't even speak." **** Everyone knows that high school is always something to dread. GPA, friends, enemies, prom, graduation, everything that you think would make high school good and bad for the future. Now scratch off friends, GPA, prom, and graduation. Why would you scratch them off? Because everything else will be the only thing that's important when you get to this high school. Saint Johnathan Pier is the one high school in the city where everything happens and normally, stuff you wish you didn't see. Everyone warned people about the dangers of the students going there but did they ever mention the people already broken by it? They were dubbed "the rainbow colors of society" just because they were different from other students in this school. But there's a slight differential between them: four of these students are popular while the other four are normal. While the four populars are seen as "superior, hot, and intimidating", the four normals are seen as "weirdos, weaklings, and irreverent bystanders". Being different from the other kids has always been a struggle for all of them since grade school, but they try to keep that out of mind. But with their dark history following them at every corner, making new friends can't be on their list. Matter of fact, it isn't an option. Especially when their attitudes are what drive people away rather than in. Not like they're complaining though. When these eight students get paired up for an end of the year assignment, they encounter a lot of drama that will test their relationships to the max. What will happen to them?
