My Academic Obsession
I hated her. (But, damn, I still do... and that annoys the hell out of me.) Dante Steele-let's just say he doesn't come from the best background and is infamous for his arrogance and intelligence (which, honestly, might shock people at first). He knows he's the best, and he makes sure everyone else knows it too. A normal (or maybe not so normal) 21-year-old senior in college, Dante lives for the hate he feels for the one girl he can't stand... but also secretly wants to make her his. Vera Knight-a fierce 20-year-old junior who's been through a never-ending battle of ups and downs. She's kind, compassionate, and always willing to help, but she knows when to stand her ground and be rude to those who deserve it. She can't STAND the presence of him. Anywhere she goes, there he is. She has no idea how he manages to always be around, but after being academic rivals for God knows how long, he's still convinced he's better than her. And to top it off, he knows it.
