*Sequel to Mafia's Woman!* Ermanno- He'd been naive. He'd fallen for a woman even while knowing the stakes. Even while knowing that love was more dangerous than the jobs he performed. He'd been foolish. And she broke him. He promised he would never let another woman hold power over his heart. Women were too dangerous, and loving them came with loosing a part of yourself. He wouldn't allow that to happen again. Ansley- She was on the run. Running from her past. Running from a life full of hatred and abuse. Running toward a better future for her and the baby she hadn't birthed yet. She intended to achieve that dream, to give her unborn baby the best life she could and to protect them from all of the things they'd left behind. Only one thing stands in the way of her happily ever after, her husband. **** "Ermanno," I said. "Yes, Fiore?" His voice was husky and full of promise. "Will you touch me?" My face was blazing as I posed the question, but I'd never meant something more. I needed to feel him. There was a fire burning inside me that on my he could extinguish. Well, I doubted he could extinguish it. The opposite actually, only make the flames burn hotter.
