Yoo Karina and Hwang Hyunjin are former lovers. Some may even call them soulmates. The love they had for each other knew no bounds. However, when trust is broken, love cannot always suffice.

She had no choice. So she ran. She ran, as she always did, leaving him heartbroken.

He had his own duties to complete. He vowed to exact his revenge. He had a master plan, and she would be the queen.



His hand trapped her between him and the wall. There was barely any distance between them. He stood close to her. Too close. 

All of the red lights in her mind were flashing, sounding alarms in her brain. But her heart couldn't ignore the butterflies in her stomach. 

He wrapped his other hand around her waist, igniting a fire inside her. He drew her close, their noses touching. 

The worst part is she didn't stop him because she enjoyed it.

He whispered, "Do you have any idea what you're doing to me?"

"I see the effect that I have on you. "Do not deny your feelings." He wasn't wrong. She kept pushing her feelings away because she had a job to do and being with him could be problematic.

"You'll only cause an inconvenience to my work." She whispered, not meeting his gaze. 

"Are you sure about that butterfly?" His voice was low as he continued, "If you tell me to stop, I will, but if you don't, I'll take you on a date."

She looked up into his eyes and, perhaps for the first time, saw sincerity. 
He closed the distance between them and sealed their lips in a promise. 

A promise to heal her blue scars.
