That's because it IS for a lifetime, as everything turns out to be a scam, forcing the campers on the island for the rest of their lives. The only way they can leave, is if they murder another camper and get away with it, and being caught doing so would lead to great punishment.

Danganronpa H: Hotel of Despair! (a Next-Gen Fanganronpa)
Heads Up: This is a Next Generation AU for the series Danganronpa. There will be references to all 4 games as well as the anime, so if you're unfamiliar with the series then it is highly recommended you either watch gameplay or play the games yourself, as that will give you the best reading experience. Since this story is a fanmade killing game, there will be mentions of violence as well as Major Character Death, so if you know you are someone who is sensitive to that material then it is recommended you give this story a pass. With that said, onto the ACTUAL description! ----- Hopes Peak Academy. A prestigious school, one that carried respect and praise; it is said that attending the school would grant you a successful future, whether that be money, fame, or status. The students represent the future of the world, their titles as Ultimates representing the hope that followed our future leaders. Satoshi Ikusaba, the Ultimate Strategist, had a plan on how his first day would go- he made sure to prepare for ANYTHING that could happen. Breakfast before school? Check. School supplies ready? Check. Getting him and his step-sister to school on time? Check. Passing out at the front of the school and waking up in a weird hotel with no idea how he got there? Check... Except the only problem is that the last bullet point wasn't on his list, or even something he took into account in the first place! Thankfully, he isn't alone; With his step-sister Kazue Maizono and his closest ally Jun Naegi on his side, he'll make sure to find the mastermind and put an end to this killing game once and for all! (or die trying.)

DandyRonpa: Killing Show
"So many questions swirled through my head when I got here. Where am I? Why am I here? Who put me here? I was thrown into a school, presumably kidnapped, and forced to participate in something i would've never guessed I would have even heard of... ... A killing game..." "What the hell do I even do? I mean, sure, I have a few friends here, but today's friend may be tomorrow's killer... Who do I even trust? Is there even anyone i CAN trust? Is there a way out? A flaw in the system? I don't wanna be here. I hate it here. This is torture. I'm just a musician, not a detective. I don't wanna deal with this. The second I entered here, I hated it. Who would even make this sort of sick and twisted game?... ... Now I know..." "... You're sick. Sick and twisted. Rot in hell." . . ______________________________ This story is inspired by Dandyronpa: The Ichor Incident made by @helena62626 Cover art is made by me
Danganronpa Murderous Generation (Demo Trial)
This is a small taster of a new story that I'm writing, it's does contain murder and swearing so if you're one to not enjoy this kind of stuff read at your own risk. This story is based around 20 ultimate students, each possesing an ultimate talent which they specialies in, but it all goes south real fast as the mechanical bear Monokuma appears, threatening them all to play a killing game. I do not own Monokuma or any other original Danganronpa characters and all other characters are a work of fiction, any similarities to people in reality is merely coincidentalComplete
{ DR ~ Calamities Conclave 👑 }
{ Sixteen ultimately gifted students have been invited by their professor (and school headmaster,) to a dinner party as a thanks to being such a great class. They were invited to the "Rose Resort," but upon arriving it is clear something is...different. The place is covered in clown decorations, and it feels like they're being watched. What makes matters worse is their professor unfortunately dies amidst their meal! With the doors locked and no sign of help coming, they head to the resorts bedrooms to take shelter. After waking up, they are told a killing game has begun inside the resort! If they can't trust each other..and maybe even themselves, will they possibly be able to escape with their lives intact? } [ THIS STORY IS HEAVILY INSPIRED BY DANGANRONPA, ACE ATTORNEY, AND OTHER DETECTIVE/MYSTERY STORIES. THIS STORY MAY NOT BE FOR EVERYONE AS THERE ARE SEVERAL POSSIBLY TRIGGERING TOPICS AS WELL AS DESCRIPTIVE GORE ] [ THE COMPLETE LORE OF THE ACTUAL DANGANRONPA SERIES WILL NOT MATCH THE LORE OF THIS SERIES. ]
Danganronpa Fandango
The story has been told many time. Now, history repeats itself once again. 16 Ultimates are locked at a hospital and forceed to join a killing game. Danganronpa2x2 announcement celebration story. Work on progress. Hello hello! Just a quick warning that this series will take quite a while with writings. Only prologue has been complete and we'll have 6 more chapters to go! (considiring the ridilulous number of words I've used, they'll be divided into more chapters). If you like the story, you can be the part of it as well with your comments and public votes. Student lists and statues will be given at the end of each chapter, and you'll be able to vote for anyone you don't want to see next chapter -or see. That's right! You'll have the power to kill someone in this book -or spend your free time. However, the votes will be collected from different platforms and affect the outcome. Thank you for reading this far. So long, bear well.

Danganronpa Cuphead Edition: Don't Deal with the Devil (Killing Game)
DISCLAIMERS: - You didn't have to play Cuphead to read this Danganronpa fans! If you don't know what Cuphead is you can just view this book as another fanmade killing game :) - This book will contain some topics and things that may be triggering to some readers. I will be putting TWs but if I miss anything I apologize. I really enjoy the concept of Danganronpa, so what if I used other characters from a different game? If you're already familiar with the storyline of Danganronpa, you can skip the next 2 paragraphs. If you aren't then here is how it works: 16 highschool students are kidnapped, and forced into a killing game. Each of them has an Ultimate Talent. (basically something they're extremely good at) The mastermind of the game controls a robot (it can be anything but in the original Danganronpa it was a bear named Monokuma) who gives the students motives to kill each other. Now you might be thinking, why would they kill each other? If they want to escape, they have to kill one of their fellow classmates, and they cannot get caught. Once a murder occurs, a Class Trial is held. During a class trial, everyone tries to figure out who the blackened is. If they guess correctly, the blackened will be executed. (most likely in a brutal way that involves their talent or something they love) If they guess wrong, everyone will be executed except the real blackened who is free to leave. This game continues until there are only two people left, or the blackened gets away with a murder. OK, now that I got that over with, my idea is to fill in Cuphead, Mugman and 14 main bosses into the Danganronpa Killing Game Concept. They will have Ultimate Talents that I have come up with. COVER ART NOT MINE. THE REST OF THE ART IS. Chapters Finished: 6/6 Epilogue is up! Afterlife AU: 5/5Complete
