Ema and Louis live in an orphanage in a small town in Kurgan, Russia. Their parents were sent to Siberia as a punishment during wwI when the twins were still very little. When wwII broke out, Louis was sent to help the Cossack soldiers. However the second world war had already begun, and nearly nobody is aware. In fact, they just carried on with their ordinary lives.
As Ema stays behind at the orphanage, she meets a new friend, who's brother happens to be on the train with Louis.
As siblings reunite, they all find a way out of Russia, and as far away as possible from the war.
However, things go downhill after they get captured by a German troop.
Fortunately, they befriend a German boy who happens to be about their age.
The boy has no family in Germany with him, since his mother died of pneumonia, and his dad is on a U-boat journey. The five friends get invited to help on a submarine themselves, but realize later on they had made a mistake. Friends are lost and trust is broken. Will the friends survive world war, or will they meet the end of their journey?

(Still correcting for errors!) The German soldier goes through many things during his time at war, love, horror, and fear. But every soldier of any side knows that there's only one way out. He'll have to survive the new technologies of warfare. A soldier's greatest strength is bravery and moral that grows and lives in the soul. Soldiers test their strength in battle, the strong ones die as the weak ones run. War is an experience that is limited. We all don't know what it's really like. When you look at a soldier that has been at war, you can see it, its written on their faces and engraved in their eyes. A World War Two fiction story about a young man named Albert Schroeder, a twenty one year old German soldier of the Wehrmacht, has been sent to Western Russia to fight the Soviet Union in the summer of June 1944. In military training in Northern Germany, he meets another soldier named Kurt Smith. Kurt has been his friend since military training until his death in a battle against the Soviets during the early night. After Kurt's death, Albert faces many problems with another death of one of Kurt's friends from high school, Ralph Schäfer that he had just met. Albert will then be taken to a place many soldiers of his kind have gone before, a Russian P.O.W camp and might stay there for most of the war until it is over or will Albert try to escape during the night and go on a huge journey back to Germany? This is my first countryhumans story so it's not that good. East Germany knows he shouldn't be alive, yet here he is, living with the man who raised him. He never really questioned it though. He was just happy to be alive. That is until his adopted father starts struggling to heal himself as quickly as he used to and East starts to worry. The entire world that he lives in is beginning to unravel and East learns things he never could have imagined. There's also a lot of stuff about Russia in this and I don't know why. He's not even supposed to be a major character but I have like 7 chapter dedicated to him.
Worlds Apart: World Beyond
Alexei Alekseyevich Sokolov, Alyosha to his family was having one of those rare moments of peace. He's and as President of Russia, he's always got a lot on his plate, but today was different. For once, he was able to just relax with his wife, Elizaveta Andreevna Nikolaeva (Elia), and their three daughters Anastasia (Alya), Marina (Masha), and Daria (Dasha). They were all enjoying a simple picnic, and for a moment, everything felt... normal. Almost like nothing bad could ever happen. Then, out of nowhere, the sky flickered just a quick, blinding flash that only lasted a couple of seconds. Alyosha froze, eyes scanning the sky, wondering what the heck had just happened. His family looked around, equally confused. It came and went, leaving no trace, but something about it felt wrong. An hour later, the phone rang. The voice on the other end was frantic. Alyosha's stomach dropped as he rushed to the conference room. Being the president, he's used to receiving urgent news, but this was different. His generals didn't waste any time. Their words hit him like a punch to the gut: "Mr. President, Russia... has been transported to another world." At first, it didn't make sense. Russia's land was still the same familiar as ever. The sky, the air, the terrain it all looked like it always had but something was clearly off. The world beyond their borders was completely otherworldly. The landscape felt wrong, like it belonged to another era a realm born of legend and myth. Was this some kind of enchanted realm? The generals didn't have answers. What they did know was that Russia was no longer where it had been. Russia had been transported to a strange, fantastical world, one that defied all explanation. While the sky above them looked the same, everything around them felt like it came out of an epic medieval tale. The air thrummed with a strange energy and the lands beyond their borders held a mysterious, almost arcane quality. Magic? Creatures from legend? Nobody knew for sure.

But something stirs in Russia: Communism. How will a Jew and innocent German girl make it safely in this ever-changing world that is right out their door? NOTE: This is after The Book Thief story (sequel if you will), so there are some spoilers if you haven't seen/read anything about it.
