We Will Walk in Fields of Gold

Sixteen-year-old Leilani is kidnapped by her boyfriend who purportedly loved her. Leilani is brought to a warehouse in what she supposes is a far off kingdom, and she learns that once she recovers from her injuries, she will be sold out of the black market.

Aleck, while working in this cooperation of the black market, is assigned to guard Leilani during her recovery. Through many conversations with Aleck, she makes a friend in him, and learns the real reason he does what he does. After developing new feelings for seventeen-year-old Aleck, Leilani worries for what will happen when it's her time to be sold.
