Amity born Charlene "Charlie" Dawes always stuck out in her faction. Too wild and bullheaded to truly fit in, and with a wild temper to match.
It wasn't a surprise to anyone that knew her when she dripped her blood into the coals of Dauntless.
Dauntless initiation is tough, and there's a lot of people that are less than happy that an Amity has the guts to try and grab a place for herself.
Then there's the trainers, one of which seemingly has an issue with her.

Dauntless has created an image for Eric after an incident during his initiation and no one knows the real him nor do they want to know the real him. When it is time for new initiates, he has to overlook their training as part of his leader training. When an Amity transfer gets a little too close to Eric, she wants to know who he really is, NOT the ruthless leader image he projects to be. Eric doesn't know how to react because no one has ever tried to get close to him before so how should he react? Will he react in a good or bad way?
