There was also that bit of depression at the realization of never seeing his father again, but he did he best to not let it get to him. But while Garmadon has entered the Cursed Realm, a place scarcely spoken of until now, a new foe has escaped it. And his name is Morro, a vengeful ghost looking for the Realm Crystal to free a greater evil onto Ninjago. While the team is split when Lloyd is possessed, losing their powers in the process, a new ninja goes under training to unlock her elemental powers. Friends around her give her encouragement and hope as she gets closer and closer to unlocking her true potential. But what of the ninja? Will they be able to stop Morro from achieving his goal? Takes place between season 4 and 5 Lloyd's father just sacrificed himself for Ninjago, and now it's just him and his mom, but when one ninja goes missing under mysterious circumstances, Lloyd figures out the truth behind something that he didn't know about. Layal's parents split up when she was young, and soon became a bounty hunter. She misses her brother and mom, but doesn't want to see them again. She gets hired to kidnap a ninja, and does it, only to find out the truth about her brother. When the Green Ninja becomes corrupted, it is up to her to save him. (fem. reader) Lloyd was only 5 when he was sent to Darkly's, and his baby sister was only a few months old, so he barely remembered her. When Lloyd reunites with Misako, his mother. Misako told him that he had a little sister named Y/n. Hearing this, Lloyd wanted to find her, and the other ninja helped him. They searched through orphanage after orphanage in Ninjago until they pass by a school yard of kids playing and hear the name Y/n. Then they saw a little girl getting bullied, so they rushed in and helped her. Once they helped her, they had obtained a strand of her hair and got it tested. It was a 100% match, so they immediately went to find her. Y/n was only 5, but she was a huge fan of the ninja. Her favorite was the Green Ninja. She was always bullied, especially in the orphanage. Her only friend was Harumi, until she got adopted, but they still write to each other. One day, Y/n went to school, got bullied, and the ninja saved her. Then she went to the orphanage, and no surprise there, she got bullied again, but the ninja jumped in and saved her again, and they shut that orphanage down. The ninja took Y/n with them, and the green ninja came up to her, explaining that he was her big brother. Y/n instantly got excited and learned she was also the elemental master of darkness while adjusting to her new life with the threat of the Overlord's return. But she had her family, her ninja family.

One year later, a group of assassins, sent to kill Garmadon and his family, ambushed them in the night. Garmadon and Misako escaped, but their two children didn't. The couple were determined to avenge their fallen children and defeat the ones responsible for their deaths, or so they thought. In the present day, the ninja, Kai, Cole, Jay, Nya, and Zane, with their masters, Wu and Garmadon, discover a large organization of the same assassins that attacked Misako and Garmadon being lead by a powerful and dangerous foe on an unknown island they never knew about-the Dark Island. This foe was unlike others, he was the eternal enemy of the First Spinjitzu Master. Together, the ninja team work their way over to the island to try and fight them, not knowing that a small group, who aren't so different from the ninja, are already working on it.
