Modern day social musings on Black life, culture, and politics. Philosophically strengthened and psychologically aware writing concerning mostly American but also diaspora separated Africans and those on the continent. I hope to introduce Afrocentricity into my writing and theories that I hope will help to reinvigorate and rebirth a Black liberation movement. I am no professor or scholar, just a layman attempting to mix some old ideas into something new.

Union's Brood by ImAProfessional0
75 parts Complete Mature
After the second American Civil War, the world changes drastically. A new nation stood where the United States once was, the Last Empire having fallen to its own people. Addicted to more chemicals than a lab rat, Alfred has a hard time keeping his head up- quite literally. It's not that he doesn't want to quit- believe me, he does!- it's just that the withdrawal is destroying him from the inside out. What makes it worse, is when he's placed into an arranged marriage as a landgrab, and then told about it just before it happened. Now he is wrestling with both his addiction, and someone he was supposed to marry in 1860! Ivan was an addict, once. He understood the pain of withdrawal. He wants to help, since there was nobody around to help him. The idea of joining the Union was one he hadn't even thought of before his boss had arranged the marriage with the dictatrix. Now, he was thrown into a world he didn't know, forced to interact with people he had never met, and be one of the first nations, the third most powerful, to join a mega-nation. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Extra: Alfred is headcannoned as brown get over it. Alfred is headcannoned as non-binary (used to be a 2s) (he/him, female titles) Nobody is irrationally scared of Russia. You like a lot of cute babies and mama Alfred this is your book my guy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hetalia: Axis Powers does not belong to me. No editor just me. All art in this book will be mine (unless, of course, fanart :) )
We Eukaryotes by duncmacphun
13 parts Complete
About 1.5 billion years ago, the single-celled eukaryotes became the common ancestors of all multicellular plants, animals, and fungi. Fish evolved a primitive lung sac and four limbs, 350 million years ago, so they could crawl between fresh water swamps. About 250 million years ago, the ancestors of all mammals, were tiny nocturnal insectivores and, about 6 million years ago, we began walking on two legs. The most recent Ice Age (2.6 million to 12,000 years ago), severely reduced rainfall in Africa, where Homo habilis was evolving. In Homo erectus (1.9 to 0.5 million years ago), cranial capacity increased to between 850 and 1000 cm3 implying the phenomenal increase of 125,000 more neurons with each generation. Between 70 and 50 thousand years ago, Homo sapiens spread out from east Africa. Then, about 20,000 years ago, evolution made a sharp change in direction. After 250 million years, we ceased to be hunter gatherers. The Neolithic Revolution meant we could never go back. WHO THE HELL ARE WE? is a series of short books and videos describing the evolution of civilization. Almost everyone on the planet is five times wealthier than their ancestors only 50 years ago. This astonishing phenomenon has also improved health, education, and longevity. The cause; an explosive growth in ideas and productivity. It began when we learned to control fire, evolved articulate speech and stumbled onto the way to create infinite wealth; free trade. The discovery of agriculture made us richer but we also learned how to destroy wealth. Great civilization grew up but then disappeared leaving only incredible ruins and ideas. Later books detail some of the ideas and developments that increased the average life span from about 40 years to more than 80 and the average world income from less than $3 to more than $33 per person per day (and to $140 per day in some countries).

Laws of Motion by joeywrites3

Newton's Three Laws of Motion: Every object in a state of uniform motion will remain in that state of motion unless an external force acts on it. Force equals mass times acceleration. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. In Aurelia's and Shane's case the Laws of Motion seem to be the acting sense of their relations. Aurelia Naya James, a girl who seems to be extremely put together and seemingly has her future plotted out by the very second. She's closed off, but incredibly warm and friendly. Aurelia is plus sized and doesn't know her worth. She has nothing, but works for everything. Shane Carson Brantley, a boy who seems to be perfect and seems to be extremely privileged. Bad boy is not in his vocabulary, however, a gentleman is in his vocabulary. He has everything, but hasn't worked for much. What happens when they are the speedy external forces to impact each others lives.... Will their oppositions equally react? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "This all makes fucking sense. What was this? Some kind of sick joke? Let's see who can get the big girl into bed first, right? Let's see who can open up the closed girl, right?" "Fuck... no!" he quickly retorted, following behind me. "Just listen!" I kept going, completely ignoring the fact that it was the first time he ever cursed in my presence. This was my first time threatening him, but I'd do it again. "Move before I put you on your ass!" I cursed at him, carelessly. "Just leave me alone!" I moved pass him, but he held onto my wrist tightly. "No! I'm not leaving until you hear me out!" he yelled, boring into me with those beautiful green eyes. They didn't lose their affect, I don't think it's possible. --------------------------------------------------- Trigger Warnings and Mature Content COMPLETED *Currently in the process of editing*
