Thousands of years ago, magic users would use their powers for the good of the people in secrecy. However, when word got around about these spells, all hell broke loose. These sorcerers were forced to hide away and never use their magic again to avoid execution, and with that, the magic faded into nothing, as it was too weak to perform any spells.
However, there are still some families who keep the magic alive. Aurora's family all have the magic inside of them, and actively practice their magic in secret. Although, when Aurora's friend, a descendant of 'witch' executioners, finds out the secret, their lives are at risk. Aurora's academic rival, who is also a descendant of magical users, finds out about her family and decides to help her, just to protect their families' lives.
The two agree to work together, just this one time. After they clear this whole situation up, they'll go back to their rivalry.
