It sucks wanting something you aren't legally supposed to have. Fifteen year old, Marli Dahnae Willo grew up in the horrible Newark, NJ. Well, that was until her parents got into a nasty divorce. The outcome of that lead Marli, her seven year old sister (Montae Jahli Willo), and her father out of state in mid September. They relocated to Austell, GA; Where she'll have too start a new chapter in her life: highschool. She expected great things, but with every expectation comes disappointments. She'd soon come across seventeen year old, Quante Hills: The self-proclaimed "heart throb" of SC Highschool.

What started out as emotionally distant group members somehow turned into two people in different ways yearning for one another. Will their environment allow that feeling to grow? Will one be able to truly receive what they desire?

"I got my heart's desire, and there my troubles began."
- Lev Grossman.

He rubbed the back of his head that possessed his starter loc twists. "That was so nice of you, you didn't have too." She smiled softly finally looking at him, "Can you put it on me?" He stood behind her and she moved her hair out of the way as he put it around her neck and clipped it back together. Her hand immediately went to it. "I'm never gone take it off." It was 5 years later. Time has changed. The seasons came and gone as did people. With his parents troublesome separation, 19-year-old Kairo was growing into the man he once aspired to be like; his father. But just because he looked and moved like him, didn't mean that he was anything like the man who had fucked up a good thing with his mom, or was he? He had girls, older and younger gawking and chasing after him. His family saw him as one person but in their absence, touring the streets with young Zaire, he was a different person. Despite all of that, there was love brewing; old and new and Kairo was aware of one in particular. But how far would a person be willing to go for love? Would they die for it? Could he stand back and watch another man love the woman that his father should have? Kairo knew of the man in his mother's life even if she tried to deny things. The only question he had for his father was; What Will It Take? Zaire was a lot like his father in many ways but he was still a sweetheart but proved on many occasions that he had no problems with getting his hands dirty. When you put those two together, you were bound to get into trouble. Then we had Ava, baby girl was 20 going on 21 and had graduated high school with honors and earned her associate's degree in nursing and was currently working on her last two years to earn her bachelors in fashion. She was still friends with Kayla and Michelle but was sure to kick it with Michelle every once in a while, being that her father was still trying to dig up dirt on King. The twins were grown, out of college, traveling here and there and supporting the Goonies' success of being drafted into the NBA two years ago. They were playing for the Phoenix Suns for the time being until a newer opportunity presented itself and they visited as often as they could during the offseason. Sweet little Assyria was 16, in her junior year with Zaire, both ready to get the heck out of school. ©️_jasthewriter

20-year-old Assyria Adina Stone yearned for peace but favored excitement. She was in a lane of her own. Discovering herself. Physically, she was on earth, but mentally, she was living through her own fantasy. She was a young woman and wanted to explore the many heavenly virtues the world had to offer, even if that meant shaking a few tables here and there; she wanted to live. But in living, she was a lost soul and lost souls often don't realize the dangers in front of them until it's too late. Soon to be 25, Ava Amari Stone found a love like no other but the journey wasn't easy. She was no longer a registered nurse, but a full-time businesswoman, who took the fashion industry by storm and was sure to leave no crumbs or room for mistakes, or sticky fingers. She was still trying to understand things in her relationship and sort out a few kinks. Nothing was ever perfect and all that was sweet eventually lost its flavor. Could these Stones handle anything thrown their way or will they fold under pressure? When it's all said and done, how deep is too deep? And when is enough, enough? © _jasthewriter 2022
