For 250 years, the world has been buried beneath ice and shadow. The Shroud swallowed the sky, putting the planet into an endless winter. The sun is nothing but a myth, and the last of humanity clings to survival in the underground cities. So does Odette Voss until the fall of Aetheris. Odette barely escapes, forced onto the frozen surface she's only heard horror stories about. The cold is brutal. The ruins are haunted by creatures that should not exist. Two people fall in love in unlikely circumstances. They have a lot of psychological issues and mistrusts in the order of things to prevent them from finding themselves and each other. I am a reader of crime novels and hard science fiction almost exclusively, and yet this story, which I have been writing for a long time, is a love story, I can't explain it even to myself. The characters will have to work through hardship and evolve to be able to surrender to the magical things around them and the flow of the universe and the love of other people. This story still is a work in progress, it has holes and it is to be continued

When people visit you every single day, it's hard to get lonely. Unless you're a ghost. Actual it gets quite annoying. In fact it's heart breaking when the people you used to love the most look straight through you. It's even worse when they blame you for their broken heart. Because they have no idea I'm dead.
