"How did you get this scar?" You found yourself asking, stare staying focused in his rather than the object of your inquiry.

Something flashed behind his eyes again. Another memory. This one nurtured another kind of hurt, another kind of anger. "I don't have to tell you."

"That's true," you said, nodding a little. "But you don't pull away when I touch it."

Todoroki's eyes found yours through the old thought, his attention unyielding. Your fingers held his face like it was made of glass and you were praying it didn't break.
