#masquerading

I count my blessings
By learning my lessons
The mask I wear is one
So I don't need to please no one

We try to stand tall
But we get into a great fall
Why,you ask?
It's because our faces are full with different masks

Man is animal to man
Stand to fall,raise to descend
That he doesn't wish to extend hands
So he hangs his conscience, and that doesn't make sense

Masquerading around the place,to get attention
If you seek direction, you definitely get
 to your destination

Following the heart most times,it might fail us
Because even the best metals,do get rust
That we act tough, even in a simple situation
Making a fool of ourselves displaying such demonstration

What kind of mask do you wear?
Yours or mine?
You are beautiful,no matter what they say
Been a masquerade, most times,it brings the you in you down

So we seek solace in a place where there are no hope
Because,we glitter, and we are not gold
So we dig out own hole,to be buried in
When we seek to act in a world that
 isn't ours

So doing so,we are doomed for life
If only the heavens or hell wasn't a word used to subject us
From achieving a lot in life
That we let our naive mindset in most cases fail us.

So I ask?
What mask do you wear?
