In the year 3954 the globe descended into war and violence from growing stress and political corruption of the world's nations. The UN was disbanded and NATO followed shortly after. At the end of the war in 3994 the United States, Russia, China, United Kingdom and most of the countries surrounding those countries fell with those global superpowers leaving them as wastelands with the surviving nations of Canada, Japan, Australia, Egypt, Brazil and the smaller countries of europe and asia were all that remained. By the 4000's the world started to expand to earth's moon Luna the other planets and their moons in the Solar System and started the seed ship program and started Earth's march forward in the field of technology, medicine and exploration without the pressure of the old ruling powers of the world the slow it for profit. In 4101 the first seed ship was launched from the Luna shipyard in the Oceanus Procellarum to colonise Alpha Centauri with each new seed Ship being sent further than the last. In the words of the late Stephen Hawking "There are too many accidents that can befall life on a single planet", unfortunately there are far more that can befall those in the void between them.

The Day We Left Earth

12 parts Complete

If we stayed there any longer, we would have died. Earth was no longer our home, but instead a barren waste land from which we had to escape. Its calm blue oceans were replaced by big empty pits, and the green grass which used to cover our planet has now died, leaving all ground we tread on brown. The sun was getting too close to earth. It was going to explode soon, meaning we would have to leave. Either that, or die on what we called home. Not everyone left, not everyone was saved, but most of us are here in our new home. It's a huge space station called 'Earth Resides'. All of us who made it here, though, refer to it as our last resort. My names Mia. I've been here nine years. And I know the truth. ------------ Project Constellations
