Alyssa Grove has hated the Capitol. Ever since her best friend died she has made vow to protect her little sister, Elizabeth, which places her in the 4th Quarter Quell with her boy tribute, Harry Greyson. Both must fight for survive, love, and, of course, for Alyssa, her best friend. She doesn't like Harry but will be civil to help herself stay alive. Can Alyssa survive the 4th Quarter Quell? Can she return to District 11 to protect Elizabeth again? Alyssa Grove has to fight for that freedom to be separated from being harmed again. That's when the gun fire is heard through Panem.
