Kira Hamada is an average, no-star student that's been attending Honnouji Academy for a few weeks now. She's an amateur inventor and loves to play with any tool, bolts, and screws she can get her hands on. 

The sixteen year old is often found in the slum's dump- usually looking for spare parts for another crazy idea she has for an invention, or found hanging around Ryuko and Mako: her best friends. They know their friend has a humongous love for her inventions and are always happy to see what she has in store for them. Kira's inventions are usually mechanical and small and are sometimes a failure but she doesn't give up on them. 

Even though Kira is a genius, her performance in school has been less than acceptable. One day the Student Council President- Satsuki Kiryuin, summons Kira to the top floor of the academy and offers her a job involving the school. Why? Well, Lady Satsuki has plans for the young inventor, and not just for a professional position in a job, either.All Rights Reserved
