Makena aka Peyton and her best friend Jordyn aka Kynzie,
have been together since they were born. Their parents all grew up together so
naturally, it just made sense. Throughout their lives it has always been them
and their parents. Every time they've tried to let someone in, they just get
hurt so they close themselves off from everyone else because it’s a lot easier
than getting hurt.
So what happens when these two girls enter a contest that
lands them a tour with the one and only 5 Seconds of Summer? Will they let them
in? Maybe. Will crazy days, the hot summer sun, interesting concerts, prank
wars, trips to the hospital, screaming fans, surprises, jealousy, intense
moments and a little romance be part of the summer? Of course.
But not everything can be rainbows and sunshine. So when
love crumbles, laughter stops, unexpected surprises, heath obstacles thought to
be long gone come back, and problems from the past, that were hoped to be
buried, resurface, what will happen to this group of friends? Will they be able
to work it out or will everything they worked for fall apart and forever only
be their Once Upon a Summer?
When Leah first hooked up with Landon, she thought it would be a one time thing. Once turned into twice, turned into countless times. Now, she's wondering if it's all been worth it. Has she been wasting her time with someone who will never want anything more? After all, Landon has never been one to settle down with anybody, why would he start now? He's the guy you call for a fun time, not a serious relationship. Leah isn't even sure that word is in his vocabulary. Maybe it's time to break off their whatever-you-call-it and find someone who knows what the word serious means.
Landon has always been the "fun-time guy", the one you call if you're looking for a party or a one-night stand. He's never thought twice about that label or what it might mean for his future in the romance department. Hell, he never thought he'd think the word romance until one decision on a fateful summer night proved how quickly things could change.
He'd always imagined hooking up with Leah. She was sexy, single, sassy- everything he thought was important in a woman. Landon never actually expected her to say yes when he jokingly suggested they have some fun late one summer night. After that, everything changed. He couldn't get enough of her. The more time they spent together, the more he wanted to be around her, and strange new feelings started to bloom in his chest.
Is it love, or something else? And would it be enough to show Leah how he's changed, or would it send her running faster toward the hills? Find out soon in Hot Summer Nights.
