Makena aka Peyton and her best friend Jordyn aka Kynzie,
have been together since they were born. Their parents all grew up together so
naturally, it just made sense. Throughout their lives it has always been them
and their parents. Every time they've tried to let someone in, they just get
hurt so they close themselves off from everyone else because it’s a lot easier
than getting hurt.

So what happens when these two girls enter a contest that
lands them a tour with the one and only 5 Seconds of Summer? Will they let them
in? Maybe. Will crazy days, the hot summer sun, interesting concerts, prank
wars, trips to the hospital, screaming fans, surprises, jealousy, intense
moments and a little romance be part of the summer? Of course.

But not everything can be rainbows and sunshine. So when
love crumbles, laughter stops, unexpected surprises, heath obstacles thought to
be long gone come back, and problems from the past, that were hoped to be
buried, resurface, what will happen to this group of friends? Will they be able
to work it out or will everything they worked for fall apart and forever only
be their Once Upon a Summer?

It's not your fault Caleb's a jerk who likes to fight and I can't find any better of a friend than you. Do you know why?" Lilly shakes her head in confusion and Caden continues, "Because Lilly, the truth is...you are the greatest friend I have ever had. I am so glad I met you and ran after you yesterday. In fact, if it wasn't for me meeting you yesterday and hanging out with you, I most likely wouldn't be here right now." Confused, Lilly asks, "Wh-what do you mean you most likely wouldn't be here? Where would you be?" Caden replies, "Gone." Lilly questions, "Gone? Caden, what do you mean gone?" ************************** Lilly's life is good, she has God, her family, friends, and cheerleading to get her through life. However, one day, things start to change. Completed. Jordyn Montgomery was used to always having everything go her way. Every problem she had could be fixed with her daddy's money it seemed. Jordyn had no problem with that. She loved her ridiculously expensive penthouse, she loved her private school right down to the uniforms that were just cute enough to be provocative. Jordyn loved everything about her life in New York City. Her dad was a big-shot lawyer and her mother owned a major fashion company that all of the latest celebrities were wearing items from. A summer kick-off party that got a bit too out of hand results in Jordyn suddenly losing everything. Well, everything in her eyes is just her credit card and freedom. The Montgomery family, desperate to save their name from the disgrace their daughter is destined to bring, decide to prescribe a little bit of down to earth family bonding time. Before she can blink Jordyn is sent to northern Michigan to spend the summer with her aunt, uncle, and cousin that she hasn't seen in almost five years. Stuck in a dinky little town, it's Jordyn's worst nightmare. But little does she know, this just might be the best thing that's ever happened to her.
