Outside My Box

15 year old Forest Jackson has spent most of their life alone, living with their mother and older brother. Their brother is off in college now and so Forest is alone in school. They don't have friends, just a boy who wants to make out before classes in the mornings. When a new student transfers from Austin, Texas, Forest believes that he is joking when he says that he wants to be their friend. Forest later discovers that they both might want more than that. They now have to work through their conflicted feelings, while also working through the hardships of being a queer teenager.
