here i sit in my room with nothing to do, been reading books all day, then suddenly i get the great idea to write my own.
why not? im a pretty damn good writer (not to be narcissistic), and i also love tankmen

A kid shouldn't have to go through much. Most of them weren't supposed to, nobody was prepared for it- they thought it would at most stick to missiles. That was what they hoped. There was no draft before it, they thought they would win.
Humans, so selfish and so sure they were stronger than one another. Everyone wants to kill each other, no matter what the reason, no matter what the cause.
