When real dragons are discovered in the deep woods of the Black Forest in 1854, the secret Helebore Alliance is formed to protect them. Intelligent, ancient, eager for discourse, the remaining dragons no longer wish to burn cities and crops. For decades, they are safe. The popularity of fantasy literature in the 21st century such as The Lord of the Rings and The Game of Thrones puts them in danger when they are discovered . First, a national park and environmental agency is created to give them refuge but someone figures out how to overcome them and poach their valuable qualities. Now only Teri, the medical officer for the Helebore Alliance that has protected dragons for over 170 years, can save Pentagram, the last dragon, from oblivion.

As the "pro-beast" and "pro-human" sides chase to their own interests with the unfortunate bears caught in the middle (struggling to establish themselves in a human dominated world), the animals learn more and more to rely on their expanding awareness to survive and thrive in an entirely new world...to evolution shattering effect!Complete
