Hank Voight was a notorious name is Chicago. He was known for many things. He was known to have a son but he also had a daughter. He wasn't her biological father though. She was dropped off on his doorstep while she slept in the middle of the night with a sticky note attached to her blanket that had one work on it. A name actually. Kelly. She was only 8 months and Hank swore that he would find whoever left her on the doorstep and make sure they pay for abandoning her. Fast forward to present day and she is now a detective that works under him in the Intelligence Unit. She has made a lot of friends along the way as well as a lot of enemies.
The life they should've had

This story will be about detective Jay Halstead and detective Erin Lindsay from NBC Chicago PD. This story is about their everyday lives being hero's stopping the criminals of Chicago in the intelligence unit of the 21st district. This story will show the challenges that Linstead must go through everyday at work but also in their personal lives to get to where they want to be. These are not my characters and I do read alot of Linstead fan fiction so if something seams similar to your story I am sorry I am not copying, these are just the ideas that get stuck in my mind. This story based on 2 years after Erin left to go to New York to take a job to keep Bunny out of jail. I kept Alvin Olinksey alive in the story as well. At first the connection between Jay and Erin is tense but they soon find their way back into each other's lives.
