Amara Briar, 21, is from a small town, raised as an only child by her parents and grandmother. Life is simple, each day she wakes up and works in her parent's flower shop- Amara doesn't need anything else, simpleton life being a nobody is perfect for her.
She begins to notice strange things happening around her though, like the seeds she planted in her mother's garden growing out of control, or vases shattering on their own when she gets overwhelmed at the shop.
It's all just a coincidence though right?
Amara finds out that her life is indeed extremely, unordinary... as in she's actually a shifter. She has powers that are out of her control, and by letting them run rampant, she's endangering those she loves. Other magical beings and creatures can sense the immense power she holds, and she will come to learn her place in the realm of everything supernatural is critical.
As she is found by other shifters who offer her training and control, she learns to navigate love, discover her origins, and her voice. The discovery that she could fulfill a long time prophecy of Circe- the sorceress who gave the first shifters their power- puts Amara to the true test. Will she find the strength in herself to complete the prophecy, or will sinister forces deliver her to her doom?

The Shifters - Awakening** is filled with fantasy lore, creatures, and finds its source out of Greek mythology. If you love of tale of romance, coming of age, and fantasy, then this book is for you. Give it a read, and I hope it brings you as much joy as I had creating it.

**NOTE: This is a rework of my original book, The Shifters: New Beginnings. Mia is rewritten as Amara, and Alex becomes Theo. While the story basis is similar, the settings and characters have been rewritten to some extent, and not set in high school. If you liked my first version, I think you'll fall in love with this one even more, as it is more mature writing and a more developed plot.
Ayn is a witch with healing powers. Shapeshifters have killed her parents and the only animals she cannot speak with are wolves.
When she graduates from the Teaching Clan and finds out that she has to cross the River and live in the Wolves' Mountains for one year, she is less than amused.
Kari, first-born shapeshifter Alpha, almost lost his wolf after the death of his mate. He could rise again and become the pack leader if only he would complete his training ...and find another suitable Luna.
When he realizes that his second chance is his mother's guest, a daydreaming stubborn witch from across the River, he is less than amused.
The bond may be a strong force, but can a witch walk the Wolves' Way and face the dangers it is paved with?

"I need to stop..." I sigh, catching her wrist before her fingers reach the back of my neck, and I untangle her arm from me.
She lingers on the recliner but now there is a big gap between our bodies. The warmth she left on my skin is quickly dissipating in the spring night.
"Fine." Ayn stands and searches my eyes. Her scowl has my wolf whimper in submission and makes me curse my self-imposed hard line.
"I am going to need your hoodie," she orders, stretching her hand out to me.
"What?" I exclaim, briefly shocked by both the tone and the content of her words. My hands however are already executing her command, unzipping my jacket.
"The last time I was able to sleep, I was covered with your hoodie. Your scent is comforting."
She states it plainly as if it would be an obvious and broadly known fact.
Like the Earth being round.
Like two being a prime number.
