A retelling of Miraculous Ladybug the way I and some of the fandom would have written it. This is a Guilty pleasure write and is for me and others to feel fulfilled in the timeline/relationships.
It starts a month before Mari and Adriens senior year. Except this year they can expect more changes than just finishing highschool.

Miraculous: War of Reality
Y'all buckle up because I'm rewriting the entire series- (its basically the show if it had good writing. expect heavy deviations from the canon plot and references because why not) Darkness has always been around. It's just taken the right people to find and harness it, and the right people to fight for the light, the hidden embers that prove that the world isn't as broken as everyone assumes it is. When one man decides to hone the darkness to complete a masterplan years in the making, a mysterious guardian finds himself choosing two teenagers through an ancient ritual. Although wary at first, he decides to take the leap: they may just be the next generation needed to keep the work going. Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste may have never initially asked for the roles. But eventually, they learn they have to accept it. Adrien suddenly grows closer with his shy classmate, marinette and feels that he's betraying ladybug. With their identities unknown to each other, Adrien and marinette struggle with the confusion of loving more than one person. while on patrol, chat noir detransforms and a certain civilian sees, (not who you think tho ;) that civilian had already discovered the identity of ladybug and eventualy chat noir figures it out too. with his realization that he only ever loved one gives him confidence and the romantic feelings for marinette to grow. though ladybug still does not know who chat noir is. will the truth finely come out? or will marinette remain confused, bouncing back and forth between what she believes is two guys? read to find out.... *also, i would very much appreciate comments, im new here, and it would be very helpful if i knew what you liked about the chapter. and weather i should change it* DISCLAIMER: All character rights go to Thomas Astruc and the producers of the netflix series.
