Earth. A beautiful planet full of life. Much of what made it beautiful has been lost to time due to the Collapse. Many of the worlds population has died and the rest have gathered under the mysterious Traveler. A planetoid hovering over a city in Russia dubbed "Last City" as it is the last safe haven on earth. In the wake of the collapse the Traveler sacrificed itself to save humanity but to ensure it's protection, the Traveler created Ghosts. Small machine like lifeforms that give the gift of Light to those who are worthy. This is the story of those gifted in the Light. Guardians. Risen protectors of the Light and the people of the Last City who wield the Light to combat the Darkness. Eyes up Guardian.

This story is the sixth in a ten-book series based on the video game franchise, "Destiny," developed by Bungie. The universe of Destiny is a science-fictional setting taking place in the future, where Humanity has been reduced to a singular city on Earth, and must rely on the Guardians, Humans who wield a power known as the Light, to defend them from various alien threats within the Sol system. This saga is NOT intended to be 100% lore accurate, and should be taken as an alternate timeline from the main canon. The primary purpose of this fanfiction is to re-tell the story that takes place in Destiny and its sequel, Destiny 2, but with a twist. The twist being that the playable "Guardian" character, who is known to be a blank-slate one-man-army amongst a roster of developed characters, is instead a team of multiple Guardians who all have their own backstories and personalities. The plot of this saga will follow the plot of the game its based on closely, but not exactly. There are a number of twists such as the main cast, as well as several other plot points, for the sake of originality, as well as to serve as an interesting narrative for those who are aware of Destiny's plot. Primarily, this story will follow the perspective of a Titan-class Guardian named Chrytor-6, but is told from the third-person, allowing for perspectives to change whether it be scene to scene or book to book, as our main character, Chrytor-6, will not always be the focus.
