A dragon rider tale with a twist.

Things have always come easy to 13 year-old Milvasendra Aphezbarillian. Her very name screams magical potential, as does her naturally pink-highlighted blue hair.
But during the annual Picking, when every 13-year-old in the land chooses something out of the Wizard's Brew that is the thing they'll need most in their lives, Millie's dreams of magical stardom are crushed.

However, everthing changes when she accidentally usurps the prophecy of the Chosen One from the dashing warrior hero, Califurven Phixerix.
Now she must train up quickly before the army of dreaded werethings desecends upon the magical city of Teshmeria and leaves nothing but destruction in their wake.

With the help from her friends, Brill and Shep, her dragon Zemby, and a wise forest wizard named Kriya, Millie navigates her new role as savior while attempting to hide a big secret that could destory her coveted reputation in the eyes of her people, and possibly cost them the war.

Part One💫 Sent to spend the summer with her eccentric nan, Cathy would sooner be anywhere else. The rooms in Topsy Turvey House are bursting with boxes and thick with dust. Apart from one. Inside the dingy drawing room hangs an antique mirror, and when it tries to eat her, Cathy's sure things can't get any worse. But soon after, she wakes to find herself trapped in the fairy realm by a powerful sorcerer called Hex. His only explanation is his need for a servant. However, working for Hex proves to be impossible. He's the most despicable creature Cathy has ever met. And destined for more than emptying chamber pots, she plans to escape. With the help of a cat called Tibbles, Cathy soon learns that things are not as they seem beyond the mirror. Part Two💫 When Cathy left the fairy realm, she never expected to return. She was guilty of treason after freeing Hex from King Julius' dungeon. But when her brother falls through the portal in her nan's antique mirror, Cathy must follow, no matter the consequences. Hidden behind the mirror is a realm inhabited by witches, dragons, goblins, and a sorcerer determined to rescue his wife from the horrid Prince Horace. And thanks to Cathy, Hex is free. Hex heads toward Horace's castle but soon meets a large talking toad with his own tale. Once a respectable goblin, Prince Horace cursed Chester for theft, turning him into a toad, and banishing him from court. In need of an ally, Hex offers to break Horace's spell if Chester will guide him into the castle. Eager to return to his privileged life, Chester agrees. However, when Hex hears of Cathy's return, he faces a dilemma: continue on and rescue Rose or turn back and save Cathy. But will Cathy prove she has what it takes to save herself and her brother?

"I don't like to think of myself as this kickass, badass Lara Croft, no. But I try not to be your typical every day Jane Doe. So I where does that leave me? In the middle, I guess. So there. I'm just your atypical- yet completely ordinary- girl with a bloody crown. Yeah, that has a nice ring to it." At 14 years of age, Joan Domshov thinks she has it all figured out- well, mostly that is. Though her ducks may not always be in a line, she's pretty confident that if she's made it 14 years then she can make it 14 more without the world caving in on her. Oh how one can dream. Exposed to a new world with which she shares a closer tie than she knew, Joan realizes there's more beyond anything she's used to. But change is good. Unless it comes in the form of an eerily charming yet minatory king from the other side of Edalirwen. When her brother is taken by the king who seems to have a personal vendetta against her family's namesake, Joan will travel to the other side of a world that is rumored to be folklore. Regardless, Joan is certain she can prevail. But as her confidence is shaken and her perception about who she truly is starts to diminish, she'll be left questioning the person she once thought she was. Smartmouthed, snarky, and clueless to her obstacles, Joan will figure out whether she is a girl with a tainted past or something else entirely.
