The Punisher and Daredevil are no longer the only vigilantes patrolling Hell's kitchen.
Nova and Bucky escaped Hydra, ending up working with the Avengers.
Being a vigilante doesn't pay the bills, and that's where being a lawyer comes in handy.
Being a Stark, on the other hand, does pay the bills, but also comes with a lot of responsibilities.
When the press releases the news that Tony Stark had a daughter and that she was affiliated with Hydra, two really good lawyers stepped in.
What happens when you put five highly trained people with various traumas in the same room? Many things and they are fun, most of the time.

This work doesn't really stick to a plot. 
Nova and Bucky's back story is in "Necessary Good, Unnecessary Evil, No rest For Wounded Souls", but that's not strictly necessary to understand what's going on.
