Finley Jacobs' mother decides to give up. 10 weeks before Christmas and 5 before Thanksgiving her mother leaves. Maybe it's because her dad was laid off the previous week or maybe it's the fact that Finley knew her mom had been keeping a secret. Whatever it was forced her and her twin brother, Tyler, to move to Hawkins Indiana- where her mom and dad first met 17 years previously.

Secrets lie in this small town, one stemming from Finley and Tyler's mom. Her past had finally caught up to her, so she left. In the same town she'd grown up in they'll find answers...or would it have been better for them to stay in the dark? In a matter of one month, Finley's whole life had drastically changed. There was nothing she could do about it. Life went on, but it would never be the same. Afterall, how bad could Hawkins be?
