Origin and history of the Australian Shepherd:
Although the exact origin of the Australian Shepherd is not confirmed, we have an idea about where they came from. The Australian Shepherd, unlike its name, is said to have evolved from different breeds of herding dogs in North America. 
This loyal and hardworking herding dog is a combination of different breeds from Britain, the U.S, Spain, etc. This dog became popular in North America due to its hardworking, athletic, loyal, and protective nature, making it a perfect herding dog for cattle.
