He was just finishing up with his task, dragging a squeegee across the glass. "Did I miss a spot?" He reached across the front of the car towards me for a final drag. He tilted his head up and flashed a million-watt smile.
His voice brought me back to Earth. "Oh-no, it looks great. Thanks." I returned the smile.
"Where are you headed?" He moved the water bucket out of the way. "Anywhere fun?"
"Golden Sands." I tossed my snacks onto the front seat. "I don't plan on doing much more than reading."
He nodded with a faint smirk. "I'm sure you'll find something fun to do while you're there."
