We all know of the infamous seven deadly sins. wrath, lust, envy, pride, gluttony, sloth, and greed. The sins that if you follow, will surely lead you do the darkest depths of hell. Luckly they are also fought against by the seven holy virtues, forgiveness, chastity, kindness, humility, temperance, diligence, and charity. So it goes, following the seven holy virtues, your soul will be freed and brought unto light after death. But, I ask you this. What if these were given physical form? And what if they were not as we always presumed them to be? What if wrath was desperate? What if lust had never known true love? What if envy was always second best despite their best efforts? What if pride had been put down and hated by everyone? What if gluttony had been starved and deprived of satisfaction? What if sloth was worked to the bone? What if greed was never given anything? It sounds absurd to consider, and even more so to think that each sin was ravaged by none other than themselves or lack thereof. What if. Such a popular question that no one bothers to truly ask about the villains of the story. Let's fix that, and look at our what ifs.
