Fyodor Dostoevsky - The embodiment of a demon, his soul contaminated with every impure attribute that is humanly fathomable. His hands stained with the blood of innocent lives, even those closest to him. The same delicate hands of which he so graciously strums a musical instrument - by name of the cello - his refined performance is a deceitful pursuance.
Osamu Dazai - A man once nothing but a demon prodigy for Yokohama's Port Mafia to control. A puppet broken free from his confined strings, only to play into the hands of another puppeteer. A man of proper etiquette, a soul who has trudged through the depths of hell, and born with humane qualities. Salvation is but an unreachable illusion, he seeks redemption, but is torn down by Dostoevsky Fyodor's rupturing, sinful morals.
A relationship born from two men, both viewed as monsters, inhumane beasts. Love is but a new field of exposure to them. One having been infatuated from his past love experience.
They'd like to believe this partnership can bloom into a beautiful, requited devotion for each other. Now, I wish I could say this is our ending, for I regret to inform you, this is no pleasurable tale.
If neither break free from the shackles dragging each other, this love could burst into something sinister, incomprehensible. After all, every rose must lose its petals before withering, shriveling up into nothing but dust of what once - a delicate florescent.
With two souls so similar, but different in their views of this cruel world, how can one prevail over the other? Will our antagonist have to relinquish. Rendering himself at the brink of death - for the victim to leave the abuser lying on the ground, watching him draw his very last breath?
Concluding this novel with a 'justice beats iniquity' trope.
Or will our protagonist venture astray, leaving all sensibility, surrendering himself to the villain, whom everybody warned him to stay away from?
Why, that might just class as an unhappily ever after..
"Never play with the feelings of others because you may win the game, but the risk is that you surely lose the person for a lifetime."
Love is as complicated as it gets. It can be found in the most unexpected of places and manifest before we ourselves realise it. And it seems no different when [Y/N] experiences this herself.
But the complications of love are hardly ever mentioned, and when they are, those already victims of love are way too deep into it to have salvation.
