Blue is in the clutches of the Watchers. And one of her friends *is* a Watcher, and Martyn betrayed everything he knew, and it's tight and claustrophobic and annoyingly shimmery and...

Basically, she has a lot on her mind.

Gem, meanwhile, is dealing with a bunch of rowdy Last Lifers getting into her world, her twin brother getting "inspired" by an untrustworthy source, and of course, three missing people: Blue, Grian, and some guy who everyone seemed to hate named Martyn.

But there are a lot more problems to solve than those. People and things that are supposed to be gone return, secrets that everyone would rather keep hidden are uncovered, worlds full of citizens are destroyed, and friends who have so much to live for die.

Most of the problems can be traced back to the Watchers, which is why Blue and the rest of the Listener's Chosen are determined to defeat them. But things aren't always what they seem, and it's easy to get sidetracked when there's more than one villain.

They decided on peace over fighting, and the Watchers weren't happy. They decided upon a new form of torture: attachment. Time still ticked down for them, so the Watchers thought it would be interesting to send them something they'd never watch grow up: a child. They loved their new children dearly, but knew they couldn't be there with them for most of their lives. Until Grian discovered that the children had infinite time, but only one life. He found a way to get his child to send him time so he could live longer. He shared this with the other players, and they've been almost immortal ever since. The only catch was they couldn't take too much time off of their children without them getting close to death. Grian became a Timekeeper, and all the other players began working to raise their kids and make a new civilisation, a new way of life. Luckily, the Watchers were still entertained. The rest of the players? They won't be entertained much longer.

We must focus on guiding the Magic; not controlling it. For it is through controlling it we allow it to control ourselves. Time between dimensions is in a constant state of flux. There is no way of saying how many years have passed, nor how many will. However, the saying remains the same: "Yesterday was history, Tomorrow is a mystery, But today is a gift. That is why it is called the present." =+=+=+= This is another Hermitcraft fanfiction, set in a season eight/nine AU (Evolution-EmpiresS1-HCS8-HCS9-Watcher AU). I don't own any of the characters; they belong to the Hermits as their Minecraft Personas. This book also sporadically features Evolution and Empires SMP characters. Pearl is the main character, but there are a few backstories followed as well. The first part of the chapter will always be Pearl, and the second a backstory (with a few exceptions when the chapter gets extra-long). Answer the chapter questions if you feel like it, even if you live in the mysterious future. I don't ship. I'm not certain about the hermit preferences, so I'd prefer to leave that to them and portray all of them as amazing friends (which they are). =+=+=+= There will be angst to satisfy your hunger. After Martyn gets threatened to take the blame for something he didn't do, he realises he needs to make some allies. It's harder than expected. Etho discovers that the island is in a zombie apocalypse, and the three roomies decide they have to warn the rest of the land. This is a story based on session 7 of the Minecraft SMP Secret Life. All players are the same as the SMP. There is a POV from every character in the SMP. This contains no swearing and no romantic plot. (also the cover is atrocious I apologise)

~The hermits had huddled around a large hole in the ground. At the bottom of the hole sat two people. One had bright orange hair with a face full of freckles and what seemed to be antlers sticking out of her hair. The other was facing away from Grian and was wearing a plain grey jacket with the hood pulled up over their head. They turned and met the builders gaze and time seemed to slow to a stop. Grian couldn't believe what he was seeing. He was standing face to face with a dead person~ Grian left Evo and joined the watchers, whom he then betrayed and in turn, they destroyed Evo and everyone in it. But that's not where the story ends, because when season 8 of hermitcraft rolls around, Grian is shocked to see a familiar face. But what he doesn't know is that this familiar face is there for a reason. Because the watchers wanted Grian back.
