Kaycee had no idea that after that night she wouldn't be going home to her small house in Davenport. Neither did she ever think Teagen could be forgotten. Kaycee couldn't imagine being parent less. But 2 years ago proved she would have to. Teagen and Kaycee are now alone. Her grandparents were the only suitable caretakers. So, her and Teagen have to live with them. Teagen doesn't talk much and her grandparents are getting to old to take care of more children. Sure, Kaycee is 16 and more than prepared to watch over her brother but, what about college? What about her dreams of becoming what she always wanted? Along the way Kaycee meets some remarkable people that help change her life for the better, and get her through the toughest battles.
