Set in a magical world inspired by Victorian England and Scotland in the 1890s. 

Vinnie Ludlowe is the gang leader of an all-female ring of thieves in Lunain. Her and her crew manage to pull off their biggest heist yet--to steal the powerful Queen Alban Amulet from Vinnie's biggest criminal rival and free the magic trapped inside the amulet. But when her rival inflicts revenge, Vinnie ends up arrested by Inspector Phelan Murray. To stay out of prison, she strikes a deal with him: She will help him take down the magic blackmarket in turn for her freedom.
 
Phelan wants nothing more than to be the chief inspector of the Lunain police department. But when his nemesis steals the position from him, as well as his blackmarket case, Phelan is driven to the edge. He has always followed the rules, and been the 'good guy'. But suddenly he is magically binding himself to an illusive thief, forcing her to help him solve a case he isn't technically on anymore.  But, what the unlikely pair discover is far more dangerous and worse than either could imagine. And Phelan starts to wonder if the only way to catch a thief, is to work with one.All Rights Reserved
