Someday - A Short Story
Life was dull, boring, and mechanical. I’ve always wondered if this would change. If something interesting will happen. I always hoped something interesting will happen. A falling meteor that would destroy half of town, an alien invasion, or even the Apocalypse. Anything, just to relieve me of this monotonous life I lead. “Urgh,” I groaned as I reached over to turn off the alarm clock that sounded like a hundred sirens in the early hours of dawn. The golden sun hasn’t come out to expel the surrounding darkness yet. I figured it would take an hour more or so for the sun to show its shining face, so I decided to eat breakfast and take a bath first. But little did I know that today was the day that my life would change. It was the day I met her. ---------- A short story. Hey guys! This is my first try writing a pure romance story. I hope you'll like it. :D This story will be rarely updated, since I'm busy with school and stuff. So, sorry in advance. ~Just Perfect EDIT: As of 03/29/14 (arranged in this order: dd/mm/yy), this story has deviated from its original "pure romance," into something worth delving deeper into. Quite interesting. And because of this... "something worth delving deeper into," I have decided to continue the story with a PART TWO! Though that will have to wait until after Exile. I decided to explore a little and found a room that had a beautiful black bed. It was very masculine, but the smell gave me butterflies. I approached the curtains on the large and long windows and gently touched them. "May I help you?" a tall figure asked with his hands In his pockets. I quickly turned around and was shocked at the sight I was seeing. It was the man with beautiful brown eyes. The Bakery Love
"Are you sure that I don't make you nervous when I get closer to you?" he teased me. Each word he said he took a step closer to me. By now my heart was pounding so loudly that I thought he might be able to hear. Being near him made my thoughts all jumbled up but I wasn't going to accept that, especially not to him. So I stuttered a no. To which he smirked as if he knew I was lying. "Okay, so you don't get goosebumps or shivers when I do this, right?" he murmured as he gently traced my arm. And almost on cue, goosebumps arose where his hand had been on my arm. "Why do you have to lie? I told you I like you and I know that you like me too then why lie?" he asked softly with his eyes staring into mine. Oh, I like him. A lot. But I couldn't succumb, I cannot be in a relationship with my employee that is basically against all the rules. I can't. But my thoughts were lost when he pressed his lips on my cheek very near to my mouth. And I closed my eyes. ---------------- Isabella Anderson is the owner of a famous cafe named 'Sugar & Spice'. Due to her best friend going out for a few months, a vacancy opened up and she needs an employee who is an amazing baker and could help her. Since desperate times calls for desperate measures, she ends up giving the job to a total stranger. And inevitably falls in love with him but things aren't that easy. Good things are never easy. A sports shop opens across the road from the bakery from the moment Holly meets Martin or Marty to his friends he becomes an instant pain in the arse. As he wont leave her alone with his 6ft well muscled body and blue eyes and black hair. He pisses her off every time Holly sees him.
