Mia Johnson has always been just the shy girl no one notices... she has lived with her aunt all her life, due to the fact that her parents died in a car accident right after she was born.
Everything changes when she moves to Shady Hallows right before her 9th grade year starts. This 15 year old is faced with all sorts of new things: love, loss, truth, and the most reeling: the realm of magic.
So things couldn't get more confusing for her, right?
Mia is stuck between two boys: sophomore Tyler Millard and the mysterious Alex South. Tyler instantly falls for Mia, and his perfect smile and adorable features seem to make Mia forget her unanswered questions about him. Alex is much more protective of her, and is constantly yelling at her for being reckless. How can Mia choose between the two when she doesn't even know who she is?
The Shifters features the opposing forces in Mia's life, that go all the way back to ancient mythology. Everything in Mia's life now must go into two categories: the trusted or the untrusted. But who can Mia trust?
